The Jaguar revealed a new car 2006 completely, called simply the “XK”, in the demonstration of motor of Frankfurt in September of 2005. It uses the new everything-aluminum that the developed monocoque chassis of the 2005 advanced the quarter-ton vehicle of the concept of Coupé (ALC) and is offered like coupé or convertible.
Of the way opposed to the way that the convertible ones are designed traditionally, coupé is based on the convertible one. This meant that the engineers could really design the convertible one without the disadvantages of the car that seemed, and being, coupé with the sheer cover extinguished. Also it meant that the minimum additional weight was required to maintain the lost structural rigidity with the retirement of the roof (weight of the curb 1635kg for the convertible one against 1595kg for coupé). [4] This does to convertible of an exceptionally rigid XK and to slight weight for a car of its type, offering experience that leads extremely impressive.
The convertible one of XK was introduced in the North American demonstration international car 2006. It offers a conventional cover of the cloth that is opened or it is closed in 18 seconds.
